Norman Zable started the Belgian Waffle Concession stand at the State Fair of Texas 47 years ago. As Mark, his youngest son got older, he started running more and more of the family business. Over the past 15 years, Mark has continued to add new products in order to stay current with the changing tastes of customers. In 2008, Mark decided to enter the Big Tex Choice Awards Cook-off competition. From then on, Mark has been working on creating new foods for people to eat and enjoy. Fried Beer ™ is the culmination of almost three years of research and development.

2008 - Chocolate Covered Strawberry Waffle Balls. They were showcased in multiple print and news articles including a full page in Food Network Magazine.
2009 - Sweet Jalapeno Corn Dog Shrimp. With its unique taste, we were once again a finalist in the Big Tex Choice Awards.
2010 - We are a finalist once again in the Big Tex Choice Awards Cook-off. We will be “officially” presenting Fried Beer™ to the judges at the Big Tex competition on September 6, 2010. We are optimistic Fried Beer™ will take one of the trophies this year.
